* 계7:4~8. 내가 인 맞은 자의 수를 들으니 이스라엘 자손의 각 지파 중에서 인 맞은 자들이 십사만 사천 이니 유다 지파 중에서 인 맞은 자가 일만 이천이요 르우벤 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 갓 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 아셀 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 납달리 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 므낫세 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 시므온 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 레위 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 잇사갈 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 스불론 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 요셉 지파 중에 일만 이천이요 베냐민 지파 중에 인 맞은 자가 일만 이천이라.

* 강해) 인 맞은 자가 이스라엘 자손 각 지파 중에 십사만 사천이라는 것은 사41:9 보면 동방 땅 끝에 일어나는 종이며 사49:6에 택한 종이 야곱의 지파들을 일으킨다고 가르쳤습니다. 이것은 과거의 육적 이스라엘을 가르친 것이 아니고 종말에 환란 중에 승리를 이루는 참된 종들의 역사를 가르쳤습니다.

계5:9에 각 족속과 방언과 백성과 나라 가운데서 사람들을 피로 사서 하나님께 드리시고 나라(왕)와 제사장을 삼으셔서 땅에서 왕 노릇 한다고 하였으니 지상왕국을 이루는 영적 이스라엘이 틀림없지요. 물론 열두 지파가 보존 되어 온 것도 아닙니다.
갈3:29에 너희가 그리스도에 속한 자면 곧 아브라함의 자손이요, 약속대로 유업을 이을 자니라 하였고 엡2:19에 하나님의 권속이라 하였습니다.

육적 이스라엘은 예수님이 오실 때까지 영자적인 이스라엘이요, 그 나라의 제사도 예언적이요, 율법도 예언적이요, 성전도 예언적이요, 할례도 예언적이요, 왕국도 예언적인 것입니다. 또한 계9:4에 인 맞지 아니한 종들만 피해를 받는다 하였으니 첫째 화를 피하는 종들이니 부활성도도 아닙니다. 야곱의 열두 지파가 복 받는 것도 아니고 야곱의 씨 가운데 예수가 나와서 예수의 피로 산 백성 가운데 복 받는 것입니다.
육적 열두 지파라면 야곱의 열두 아들 중 레위를 빼고 에브라임과 므낫세를 독립 지파로 하는데(창49:3~28, 신33:17) 여기서는 단 지파 대신 므낫세(창49:17, 신33:22)가 에브라임 지파 대신 요셉이 들어 왔고(신33:22) 그것도 예언적이며 말세에 열두 지파적인 지상축복을 받는 왕권반열을 말한 것입니다.
므낫세는 은혜를 많이 받은 종으로 선구적인 종의 자녀 축복과도 관계가 있을 것 같습니다. 세상 나라가 그리스도의 나라가 된다고 하였습니다(계11:15). 십사만 사천 명도 계6:11에 수가 차기까지 하였으니 상징적인 숫자가 아닙니다. 계14:3에도 십사만 사천 인 밖에는 능히 이 노래를 배울 자가 없다고 하였습니다.
