* 계11:7~8. 저희가 그 증거를 마칠 때에 무저갱으로부터 올라오는 짐승이 저희로 더불어 전쟁을 일으켜 저희를 이기고 저희를 죽일터인즉 저희 시체가 큰 성길에 있으리니 그 성은 영적으로 하면 소돔이라고도 하고 애굽이라고도 하니 곧 저희 주께서 십자가에 못 박히신 곳이니라.

하나님께서 택한 종들의 전도와 예언하는 일을 못하게 능력을 거두십니다. 왜냐하면 일할 기한이 찼기 때문입니다.
단7:21~22에 넷째 짐승이 성도들로 더불어 싸워 이겼더니 때가 이르매 성도들의 나라가 된다고 하였습니다. 계13:7에 성도들과 싸워 이긴다고 하였습니다. 그러므로 두 선지자라고 한 것은 대표적인 것입니다.
증거를 마칠 때 무저갱으로부터 올라오는 짐승이 전쟁을 일으킨다는 것은 하나님께서 그 종을 통하여 짐승의 정책을 대항해서 싸우는 일을 하기 때문입니다.
거짓선지는 짐승의 뒤를 따라가며 그 앞에 굴복하도록 하고 참된 증인은 짐승 앞에 절하면 구원이 없다고 전하기 때문입니다.
하나님은 예언의 말씀을 다 증거 한 다음에는 그 역사를 거두시는 동시에 짐승 앞에 쓰러져서 죽은 시체가 되게 하시는 것입니다. 사26:19 주의 죽은 자들은 살아나고 우리의 시체들은 일어나리라고 한 것입니다.
이것은 성령의 역사가 걷히는 동시에 그 모든 종들은 입신상태에 머물러 있는 것이라고 생각할 수 있습니다. 시체가 있는 성을 소돔과 애굽이라는 것은 멸망의 도성이라는 것입니다.

세상은 멸망의 대상이요, 심판의 대상이요, 타락한 세상이요, 음란한 세상이요, 마귀권세의 악한 세상이라는 말입니다.

이날까지의 전쟁은 하나님의 사람과 싸우는 전쟁이 아니고 세상 사람이 정치적인 야욕을 가지고 1,2차 세계대전을 일으켰다가 망하고 결국은 민주주의 나라가 이루어진 것입니다.
그러나 오늘에 와서 세계를 사상으로 정복하려는 짐승의 정책은 계13장 과 같이 붉은 용의 권세를 받아 가지고 나오므로 하늘 권세를 받은 하나님의 사람이 아니고는 그 권세를 막을 자는 전혀 없게 된 것을 주 재림기에 오는 환란이라는 것입니다. 이것은 세계적인 문제를 놓고 나오는 사상전이므로 자동적으로 마지막 증인과 전쟁을 하게 되는데 그 이유는?

② 하나님의 사람으로 마지막 승리를 이루어 성도의 나라를 이루기 위하여 마귀의 권세를 개방시키는 것입니다.

③ 증인권세로 세계를 통일하기 위하여 증거를 마칠 때에 전쟁을 일어나게 합니다.

이 전쟁이라는 것은 영토를 위하여 싸우는 전쟁이 아니고 세계통일의 왕국을 놓고 짐승과 싸우는 전쟁인데 짐승은 자기가 세계통일을 할 것을 확신하고 나오는 것이요 하나님의 사람은 짐승을 이기므로 성도의 나라가 올 것을 확신하고 싸우게 되는 것입니다. 증인권세 역사로 짐승의 나라를 정복하고 들어갈 때에 모세 앞에서 바로가 발악을 하며 엘리야 앞에서 이세벨이 발악을 하듯이 마지막 증인 앞에서 짐승의 정권이 발악을 하고 나오게 됩니다.
그러나 이때에는 짐승을 없애버리는 심판을 내릴 때가 아니고 끝까지 싸우던 종을 휴거 시킬 때이므로 하나님께서는 모략적인 방법으로 당신의 종을 죽은 자 같이 쓰러지게 합니다.

십자가에서 당신의 아들을 죽게 한 것도 그 아들로 말미암아 세계를 통일 할 목적이요, 마지막 증인이 쓰러지게 하는 것도 그 증인을 통하여 세계를 통일하는 새 시대를 이루기 위한 목적입니다.
마지막 심판은 증인이 증거 하던 예언에 따라서 심판하는 것입니다. 그 예언을 지키는 자를 구원하고 지키지 않는 자를 심판하기 위해서는 증거를 마칠 때에 증인을 휴거 시키고 세상을 마흔 두 달 동안 짐승에게 맡기게 됩니다.
이때에 아무런 환란이 와도 예언을 지키는 자는 보호하고 지키지 않는 자는 다 짐승의 표를 받게 한 후에 도둑같이 지상강림하면서 증인의 예언을 지키는 자는 구원하고 지키지 않고 짐승의 표를 받은 자는 전멸시키는 것이 새 시대를 이루는 재앙 심판이라는 것입니다.

② 예수님같이 한 길을 가게 하기 위하여 3일반 동안 쓰러져 있게 하는 것입니다.

③ 완전한 변화승천을 그 몸에 주기 위하여 죽은 사람같이 하는 것뿐입니다.

그러나 영혼이 세상을 떠나게 하는 것이 아니고 하나님의 모략적인 방법으로 죽은 사람같이 보이도록 한 것뿐입니다.
만일 하나님께서 변화성도를 아주 무덤에 장사하게 한다면 안 되겠으므로 인간이 볼 때에 죽은 사람같이 보였으나 실지는 죽은 것이 아닙니다.
그러므로 사26:19에 죽은 자는 살아나고 우리 시체는 일어나리라 했던 것입니다.
여호와의 영광은 말세증인을 통하여 나타나되 마지막 증거로써 택한 백성을 환란에서 구출시키는 일을 하는 데는 하나도 잃어버리지 않고 찾아내기 위해서 역사했으나 이때는 인간을 버리는 때이므로 역사를 거두시고 남은 자로 새 시대를 이루는 것입니다.

왜냐하면 말세증인의 역사 이상에는 더할 수 없는 때이니 만큼 하나님은 어떻게 하든지 택한 자를 강권으로 찾기 위하서 가장 모략적인 방법으로 택한 종을 들어 쓰는 것이 하나님께서 영광을 받으실 일이요 만민을 깨우치는 역사입니다.

이것은 다음과 같은 의의가 있습니다.

2) 짐승에게 죽음을 당한 것 같이 된 이유는 짐승의 세력이 그 몸에 더 피해를 주지 못하게 하는 동시에 세상에 모든 일을 짐승에게 맡겨 이 땅에 둘째 화가 오도록 하는 기간입니다.
왜냐 할 때에 택한 자를 한데로 모았기 때문에 다시는 전도할 필요도 없고 세상을 버리는 뜻이 내포된 것입니다. 그러므로 땅을 영적으로 소돔입니다, 애굽이라 합니다.
