본장은 인간종말에 동방에서부터 크게 외치는 역사가 시작되어 동방 역사를 통하여 세계를 뒤집어엎는 일과 불타는 일이 일어날 때에 세계가 통일 될 것을 예언하였습니다. 선지 국가이니 복음 운동도 먼저하고 심판의 환란도 먼저 일어나게 되는 것입니다.

* Is.24:1. Behold, the LORD made the earth empty, and made it waste, and turned it upside down, and scattered abroad the inhabitants thereof.
* 사24:1. 여호와께서 땅을 공허하게 하시며 황무하게 하시며 뒤집어엎으시고 그 거민을 흩으시리니

* Is.24:2. And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
* 사24:2. 백성과 제사장이 일반일 것이며 종과 상전이 일반일 것이며 비자와 가모가 일반일 것이며 사는 자와 파는 자가 일반일 것이며 채급하는 자와 채용하는 자가 일반일 것이며 이자를 받는 자와 이자를 내는 자가 일반일 것이라.

* 강해) 지금은 빈부귀천이 차별되었으나 그날에는 일반이 되고 만다는 것입니다.
세상 근심 걱정 너무 할 것이 없습니다.

* Is.24:3. The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD had spoken this word.
* 사24:3. 땅이 온전히 공허하게 되고 온전히 황무하게 되리라 여호와께서 이 말씀을 하셨느니라.

* 사24:4~5. 땅이 슬퍼하고 쇠잔하며 세계가 쇠약하고 쇠잔하며 세상 백성 중에 높은 자가 쇠약하며 땅이 또한 그 거민 아래서 더럽게 되었으니 이는 그들이 율법을 범하며 율례를 어기며 영원한 언약을 파하였음이라.

* 강해) 땅이 슬퍼하고 쇠잔하며 세계가 쇠약하고 쇠잔해지는 것은 그들이 하나님의 말씀을 파하였기 때문입니다. 하나님의 종이고 하나님의 백성이라도 말씀파하는 죄는 제일 무서운 죄입니다. 시대적인 말씀의 법을 지키지 아니하면 더러워지는 것입니다. 회개하여 말씀에 순종해야 깨끗함을 받습니다. 예수 믿는 사람이라도 이 진리 반대하면 망하여 죽는다는 것입니다.

* Is.24:6. Therefore had the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
* 사24:6. 그러므로 저주가 땅을 삼켰고 그 중에 거하는 자들이 정죄함을 당하였고 땅의 거민이 불타서 남은 자가 적으며

* 강해) 하나님께서 말씀대로 심판할 것이니 땅에 거민은 불타서 남은 자가 적게 됩니다. 말씀 파했다는 죄 때문에 환란 날에 불타서 죽게 됩니다. 말씀에 떨면서 말씀을 지키는 자라야 남는 것입니다. 말씀심판인데 남을 자가 많겠습니까? 아주 적게 됩니다.

* Is.24:7~13. The new wine mourned, the vine languished all the merry hearted do sigh. The mirth of tabrets ceased, the noise of them that rejoice ended, the joy of the harp ceased.
They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it. The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in. There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.
* 사24:7~13. 새 포도즙이 슬퍼하고 포도나무가 쇠잔하며 마음이 즐겁던 자가 다 탄식하며 소고 치는 기쁨이 그치고 즐거워하는 자의 소리가 마치고 수금 타는 기쁨이 그쳤으며 노래하며 포도주를 마시지 못하고 독주는 그 마시는 자에게 쓰게 될 것이며 약탈을 당한 성읍이 훼파되고 집마다 닫히었고 들어가는 자가 없으며 포도주가 없으므로 거리에서 부르짖으며 모든 즐거움이 암흑하여졌으며 땅의 기쁨이 소멸되었으며 성읍이 황무하고 성문이 파괴되었느니라. 세계 민족 중에 이러한 일이 있으리니 곧 감람나무 흔듬 같고 포도를 거둔 후에 그 남은 것을 주움 같을 것이니라.

세상의 화려한 도성이 다 무너지고 세상의 모든 상품이 다 없어지고 다 망하고 만다는 것입니다. 천하에 이 말씀을 전하고 파하는 사람은 몽땅 없애버리고 순종하는 사람만 남기는 것이 하나님의 작정이라는 것입니다. 환란을 통하여 쭉정이 추수는 마귀가 해가고 알곡은 이삭 줍는 것 같이 남은 자가 적은 것입니다.

하나님께서 크게 진노하실 일은 인간이 죄를 지었다는 것보다도 하나님의 영원한 언약을 파하는 일입니다. 이 파한다는 것은 말씀을 받아 가지고 세웠던 교회를 파괴하는 행동을 말합니다. 오늘날 기독교가 세계 대종교가 되었고 하나님의 말씀을 세계 열방에 전파하여 어느 민족이나 하나님의 말씀을 배울 수 있는 기회를 주고 있습니다. 인간 종말에 모든 사람들이 영원한 언약을 파한다고 한 것은 반 기독적인 사회가 될 것을 가르친 것입니다. 언약을 파한다고 한 것은 하나님의 말씀을 무엇인지 모른다는 뜻이 아니고 말씀을 받고도 배반한다는 뜻입니다.

이것이 전부 하나님의 언약을 파하는 일입니다. 언제나 언약이라는 것은 한 번 기록하면 일점도 가감 할 수 없는 것입니다. 사람이 계약서를 쓸 때에도 법칙에서 조금도 가감할 수 없는데, 조물주 하나님의 영원한 언약의 말씀을 각각 해석할 탓이요, 갖다 붙일 탓이라고 하는 것은 하나님의 완전성을 부인하는 것이나 다름이 없습니다.
만약에 하나님의 언약의 말씀을 가감할 수 있다고 한다는 것은 진노를 받을 사람의 말입니다.

이 구원론은 진노의 날에 원수의 세력을 없이할 때에 당신의 백성을 구원하되 영과 육을 아울러 구원해 준다는 언약의 말씀입니다. 그러므로 누구든지 이 언약을 파하는 자는 진노의 날에 불에 사름을 당하고 말 것입니다(5~6).
이사야서의 말씀은 북방 세력이 동방 세력에게 망하므로 새 시대가 온다는 것이 중점입니다. 북방 바벨론이 예루살렘을 황폐시키고 동방 고레스가 황폐된 예루살렘을 복구한 것은 인간 종말에 될 것을 가르쳐서 말씀한 것입니다.
바벨론의 포로가 된 사람들이 해방을 받고 돌아와서 예루살렘을 복구한 것과 같이 인간 종말에 바벨론 세력 아래에서 압박 받던 성도들이 동방에서 나타난 역사로 말미암아 한곳에 모여 남은 자가 되어 새 시대를 이룰 것을 말씀하셨습니다. 기독교는 이제 선지서를 글자 그대로 읽어서 크게 외쳐야 할 때가 왔습니다.
