본장은 18장과 같이 강대한 나라 사람이 예물을 가지고 시온 산으로 오게 되는 일이 있게 되는 것은 주의 강림이 있음으로써 이루어진다는 것을 예언한 것입니다.

* 사19:19~20. 그날에 애굽 땅 중앙에는 여호와를 위하여 제단이 있겠고 그 변경에는 여호와를 위하여 기둥이 있을 것이요 이것이 애굽 땅에서 만군의 여호와를 위하여 표적과 증거가 되리니 이는 그들이 그 압박하는 자의 연고로 부르짖겠고 여호와께서는 한 구원자, 보호자를 보내사 그들을 건지실 것임이라.

주 재림 시기에 극도로 인심이 악화되고 경제가 혼란하고 정치가 부패되고 세계가 미혹을 받는 때에 중앙제단이라는 것은 그 제단을 통하여 재앙의 날에 구원을 받는 역사가 일어날 것을 뜻합니다.
오늘날 많은 교회가 있지만 진노의 날에 많은 사람을 구원해 주는 역사가 무엇인지 알지 못하는 교회가 많습니다. 진노의 날에 영, 육이 구원을 받는 역사가 일어나는데 있어서는 어느 교파를 중심한 것이 아니고 한 제단이 나타나서 그 제단을 중심하여 역사가 일어나므로 새 시대가 올 것을 가르친 것입니다.
제단이라는 것은 건물에 따라서가 아니라 그 시대에 하나님의 뜻을 분명히 알고 기둥같이 튼튼히 선 사람이 없이 여호와를 기쁘게 할 수가 없습니다.
3년 6개월 가물 때에 엘리야는 흔들리지 않고 담대히 서서 제단을 쌓고 손들어 기도할 때에 800여명 바알 선지를 쳐부수는 승리를  이루었던 것입니다. 제단이라는 것은 다수가 모인다고 여호와께서 기뻐하는 것이 아니요, 적은 수라도 기둥이 될 때에 하나님은 그 종을 통하여 승리하도록 응답을 내리는 것입니다.
언제나 하나님께서는 담대한 사람이 올리는 제사를 기꺼이 받으시기 때문입니다.

앞으로 남은 교회가 되려 할 때 초자연적인 역사가 표적과 증거로 나타나야만 될 것입니다. 우리는 여호와께서 응답함으로만이 사명을 감당하는 제단이 될 것이니 아무리 원수의 압박이 있다하여도 거기에 굴복치 않고 여호와를 위하여 그 시대적인 말씀을 증거하는 것이 있어야만 하나님의 보호가 같이 할 것입니다.
오늘에 많은 교회가 많은 사람이 예배하고 있지만은 주님 오실 때까지 강하게 역사하는 교회는 여호와를 위한 제단입니다. 언제나 하나님은 그 시대에 역사가 나타날 적에 한 곳에 먼저 역사가 일어나서 모든 사람들이 그 역사를 따라오게 한 것이 분명합니다. 율법시대가 지나가고 은혜시대가 올 때 부활을 증거 하기 위한 제단은 마가 요한의 다락방 이었습니다.
그러므로 주님이 재림할 때에 나타나는 역사는 한 제단에서부터 일어나서 그 시대 사람들에게 표적과 증거로 보여줄 것입니다. 그것은 기드온 삼백용사가 봉홧불을 항아리에 감추어 준비하듯이 진리 봉홧불을 높이 드는 용사가 나오게 되는데 성신의 불이 임하여 몸속에 불성곽이 되어 짐으로 죄악소멸과 마귀소멸의 역사가 일어나는 것입니다. 그러므로 제단 중심으로 역사가 일어나되 기둥같이 굳게 서는 종들로 말미암아 큰 증거가 나타나므로 모든 사람들이 그 역사를 따라오게 됩니다.
