본장은 18장과 같이 강대한 나라 사람이 예물을 가지고 시온 산으로 오게 되는 일이 있게 되는 것은 주의 강림이 있음으로써 이루어진다는 것을 예언한 것입니다.

* 사19:19~20. 그날에 애굽 땅 중앙에는 여호와를 위하여 제단이 있겠고 그 변경에는 여호와를 위하여 기둥이 있을 것이요 이것이 애굽 땅에서 만군의 여호와를 위하여 표적과 증거가 되리니 이는 그들이 그 압박하는 자의 연고로 부르짖겠고 여호와께서는 한 구원자, 보호자를 보내사 그들을 건지실 것임이라.

주 재림기에 기둥같이 서서 역사할 종들은 제단을 통하여 일어나되 마지막 증거를 하게 됩니다. 그러므로 그 종들을 중심하여 주의 재림이 임하게 되는 것입니다.
왜냐하면 초림의 주는 죄인을 부르러 오셨지만, 재림의 주는 어떠한 압박이 있다하여도 조금이라도 흔들리지 않고 부르짖던 종들을 구원하시려고 오시기 때문입니다.

세계 인류가 구원을 받고 보호를 받는 일은 반드시 제단을 중심하여 일어날 것입니다. 은혜시대에는 예루살렘의 다락방을 중심하여 구원의 역사가 일어나서 세계를 구원하였는데 이것은 모든 죽은 영들을 지옥에서 천국으로 인도하는 구원입니다.
그러나 여기에서 구원과 보호라는 것은 영, 육을 아울러 구원해 주고 보호해 주는 것을 가르쳤습니다. 어떤 교파를 중심해서 역사하는 것보다도 여호와의 말씀이 임한 제단 중심으로 역사하는 것을 종말의 역사라는 것입니다.
하나님께서는 언제나 진리를 따라 역사하는 것이니 진리가 임하는 제단을 압박하는 자가 승리한다는 것은 있을 수 없는 일입니다. 이 제단에 모인 사람들은 구원자 보호자를 하나님께서 보내어 건져주는 것을 받게 될 것이니 이 때 하나님은 살아 계시다는 것을 악한 세상은 알게 될 것입니다.

둘째는 진노의 날에 보호하는 비밀을 말했고,
셋째는 새 땅 축복을 받는 일을 말했습니다.
이것이 선지서의 3대 요지가 됩니다.

그러므로 율법시대의 성전이 은혜시대의 다락방으로 이루어진 것입니다. 하나님께서는 제사를 받으실 때에 진리를 따라서 그 시대에 말씀에 순종하는 제사라야 받으시기 때문입니다. 예루살렘 성전의 제사는 기뻐하시지 않고 마가 요한의 다락방에 남녀가 합심하여 기도하는 장소에 성령의 역사가 불로 임하는 동시에 모든 사람이 하나같이 방언을 하게 되었던 것입니다.
그때에 예루살렘 성전에서 제사하는 대제사장과 장로들은 맹렬히 다락방 교회를 박해했던 것입니다. 그러나 다락방 교회는 세계를 정복하고 예루살렘 성전은 무너져 없어지고 만 것입니다. 오늘 여기 기록된 말씀은 은혜시대가 지나고 진노의 날이 올 때에 하나님의 보호를 받는 제단은 어떠한 제단이라는 것을 가르쳤습니다.
하나님은 언제나 제단이 없이 역사 할 수가 없습니다. 그러므로 진노의 날에 여호와를 위하여 제단이 있다는 것을 가르쳤습니다. 이제 어떠한 제단이 되어야 진노의 날에 여호와 하나님 보호를 받고 남은 제단이 되느냐 하는 것이 오늘날 기독교에서 깊이 생각할 문제라 생각합니다. 만일 이것을 분명히 모르는 자가 된다면 헛된 수고를 할 수밖에 없을 것입니다.

* 하나님께서 이와 같은 제단을 통하여 역사함으로 많은 사람이 회개하고 하나님께 돌아오므로 큰 개혁이 일어날 것입니다. 하나님께서는 언제나 어려운 일이 올 때에는 약하고 가난하고 압박 받는 사람들에게 나타나셔서 역사하는 것은 과거와 현재와 미래에도 있되 특히 재림시의 역사는 세계적인 큰 역사가 될 것입니다. 
하나님께서 교계가 부패하고 인심이 악화된 세상에서 택한 백성을 구원하기 위해서는 여호와를 위하여 한 제단이 있게 하십니다. 그 제단을 통하여 하나님의 응답이 내리므로 주의 영광이 나타나게 되는 것입니다. 이 제단에서 종말의 진리가 햇빛같이 나타나서 세계로 전파되기 시작하는 것이 성경이 응하는 사실입니다.
